Objectives
The goal of the FCCP Education Foundation is to promote the advancement of education through the following objectives:
- To provide scholarships and awards to qualified students with outstanding achievement while attending Ontario post-secondary institutions, irrespective of race, creed and religion.
- To provide interest-free loans to qualified students.
- To establish Awards of Merit to distinguished Chinese Canadians with exceptional achievements in their professional fields or to persons with outstanding contributions towards the Chinese Canadian community.
History
The Federation of Chinese Canadian Professionals (FCCP) Education Foundation is a registered charity established in 1981 by its parent organization, the Federation of Chinese Canadian Professionals (Ontario) whose membership includes accountants, architects, biomedical professionals, chiropractors, dentists, engineers, information technology professionals, lawyers, medical doctors, pharmacists and physiotherapists. The Foundation has awarded over $1,129,750 in scholarships and over $160,000 in student loans.
